February 2 to 4 A delegation led by Wang Hongpeng, leader of the National Drug Control Commission office and deputy head of Investigation Guidance Office of the Narcotics Control Bureau of the Public Security Ministry, paid a visit to Zunyi and Bijie of Guizhou, accompanied by Wen Faxiang, deputy director of Guizhou Drug Control Office and general commander of the drug control squad. They investigated and checked the key drug control in outflow drug trafficking regions by the National Drug Control Commission in 2009, and the drug control and strict crackdown work in winter.

June 3 Guizhou Public Security Department held a launch ceremony for the campaign of “publicizing drug control in 10,000 households.” Cui Yadong, deputy director of Guizhou Drug Control Commission, and head of Guizhou Public Security Department, delivered an important speech at the ceremony.

July 28 Cheng Honglin, deputy head of Guizhou Public Security Department, and Yan Shangzhi, deputy head of Yunnan Public Security Department, jointly held a signing ceremony of the Agreement on Drug Enforcement and Investigation Work of Public Security Authorities in Yunnan and Guizhou, to strengthen the drug control cooperation between the two provinces, on behalf of the public security authorities of the two provinces in the Drug Control Bureau of Yunnan Public Security Department.

September 2 Guizhou Drug Control Commission held its first plenary session, analyzing and summarizing the situation of vigorously promoting the people’s fight against drugs, and arranging for the following work.

January 28 Guizhou Public Security Department held a video and telephone conference about strict drug control of public security authorities throughout the province. It summarized the drug control work in 2009, analyzed the drug situation throughout the province, and made arrangements for the strict drug control in 2011.

March 16-18 The training class concerning the dynamic management on nationwide drug addicts held by the Ministry of Public Security started in Guiyang.

March 30 The Regulations on Drug Control in Guizhou was passed at the 21th session of the 11th Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of Guizhou.
