2005
February 3 The drug control squad of Guizhou Public Security Department held a symposium about drug investigation stations & anti-drug case investigation in Guizhou.

March Wang Zhengfu, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, executive vice governor, deputy director of Guizhou Drug Control Commission, sighed the Letter of Responsibility concerning the drug control work in Guizhou in 2005 with 9 prefectures, cities, and localities, and 17 key control counties, on behalf of the provincial government.

April 18 Guizhou drug control symposium was held in Guiyang.

April 23 Shi Xiushi, deputy secretary of Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, governor, and director of Guizhou Drug Control Commission, delivered a TV speech entitled that “the whole society should take quick action to launch a people’s war against drugs.”

June 17 The opening ceremony of “a drug-free Guizhou in 2005” was held in Hebin Park, Guiyang.

July 26 Jackie Chen, UN goodwill ambassador and internationally famous film star, delivered an impromptu speech themed at that “changes need perseverance” in the drug rehabilitation center of the Public Security Bureau of Liupanshui, cautioning drug rehabilitation personnel to cherish life and get rid of drug addiction.

August 21 A delegation of the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) visited the drug rehabilitation center of the Public Security Bureau of Guiyang.

September 23 The work meeting on in-depth carrying out of the people’s war against drugs by Guizhou public security authorities was held in Guiyang.

October 15 The premiere of Black and White Memory, a drug control warning education film, was held in the auditorium of Guizhou Provincial Party Committee.

2006
February 18-19 Guizhou’s key drug situation control & Pan County on-site meeting was held in Pan County.

April 20 Shi Xiushi, deputy secretary of Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, governor, and director of Guizhou Drug Control Commission, hosted the second plenary session of Guizhou Drug Control Commission.

July 8 The long-distance drive publicity campaign participated by Chinese drug control volunteers, jointly held by the National Drug Control Office, the Central Committee of the Communist Young League, and Beijing Drug Control Office, arrived in Guiyang to promote drug control publicity.
June 16 Guizhou Public Security Department held a deployment meeting on the “fox hunting campaign” in Guiyang.
