Satellite images show progress of Xiongan New Area over the past five years (8)

The cloud computing center (referred to as the "Xiongan supercomputing center") of Xiong'an New Area covers an area of 45 mu (3 hectares) and has a construction area of 39,851 square meters. Dubbed as the brain of Xiong'an, it will provide the network, computing, and storage services related to big data, block chain, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality. The left part of the combo photo, which was taken by a satellite, shows the site of the cloud computing center in Xiong'an New Area in 2017, while the right part shows the cloud computing center in June 2022.

Aiming to relieve Beijing of functions non-essential to its role as the national capital, Xiongan New Area in north China's Hebei Province has witnessed huge development and recorded a total investment of more than 430 billion yuan (about $61.75 billion) since its establishment in 2017.
