What to do if you have frostbite?

1. It is extremely important to keep warm if you have frostbite. Wear loose-fitting, light-weight, warm clothing in several layers. Do not use dry heat such as heaters, fireplaces or heating pads. These heat sources are too difficult to control, and will not supply the sort of gradual heat needed to treat frostbite. Be careful not to rub the affected areas.
