Laodong village in northeast of Bijie county is one of the Miao villages in Guizhou province. It's a small village with more than 100 families. Young people in the village leave home for work, and only children and elderly live in the village. 66 children study in the only primary school in the village, and other children have to walk 5 kilometers every day to go to the school in town. Without parents around, many children have to take care of younger sisters and brothers after school.
