An expressway linking Simao district and Lancang Lahu autonomous county, both in Pu’er city of southwest China’s Yunnan province, began operation on Jan. 20. The 125-km-long expressway cuts the travel time between the two places to 1.5 hours from 3.5 hours, benefiting over 700,000 residents living nearby.
