Mr. Wang spoke highly of Daikin’s sustainable growth in both revenue and profit despite the pressure of economic downturn, sluggish air conditioning market and general losses that its counterparts are suffering. Mr. Wang said the extraordinary performance of Daikin and its leadership in the air conditioning sector, especially in the commercial air conditioning sector, are attributed to the wisdom of the company’s management in corporate governance, and the perseverant innovative efforts in R&D, technology upgrading and marketing, which brought its business to new fields. It is true that enterprises should grow in size, but it is more important for an enterprise to grow into a leader in its sector with core competitive edge that others may not easily imitate or surpass in the short term, Mr. Wang said.

At last, the two sides exchanged good wishes for the New Year and concluded the meeting amid a friendly atmosphere.
