Chairman Wang meets with Daikin Vice President Ken Tayano

On the afternoon of January 14, Mr. Wang Zongnan, Party chief and board chairman of Bright Food, met at the Group headquarters with a delegation led by Mr. Ken Tayano, executive vice president of Daikin Industries as well as general manager in a China-based subsidiary.

Founded in 1924, Daikin Industries is a Japanese transnational company that presently owns more than 90 branches worldwide. It is dedicated to the chemical industry and the making of air conditioning system, and is a world-class expert on organofluorine chemistry. The Shanghai Yimin No.1 Foods (Group) Co., Ltd. under Bright Food has been in equity cooperation for many years with a Daikin subsidiary in China.

Mr. Ken Tayano thanked Mr. Wang for the Group’s consistent support to Daikin. They exchanged views on China’s air conditioning market in 2012 and Daikin’s performance in the country.

Mr. Wang expressed appreciation of Daikin’s maintaining income and profit growth despite slack economy and wide losses in fellow makers. The excellent performance, he said, can be attributed to the company’s strong governance and perseverance in innovations. Its new measures in product research, technological upgrade and marketing have extended to new fields, enabling the company to stay as a leader in the air conditioning industry, especially in commercial air conditioning. Wang said that despite the importance of enterprise scale, it is more important to become industry leader, forge ahead in central abilities and create competitiveness that cannot be copied or overtaken in short term.

The two sides exchanged best wishes for the New Year and the meeting wrapped up in a friendly atmosphere.
