Chairman Wang meets with ZWILLING director Achim Wolfgarten

(People's Daily Online)

Mr. Wang Zongnan, Party chief and board chairman of the Group, met on the afternoon of January 22 with a delegation led by Mr. Achim Wolfgarten, director of Germany-based ZWILLING and board chairman of Shanghai-based ZWILLING HENCKELS Co., Ltd.

ZWILLING got its double-figure logo from the zodiac sign, Gemini, under which it was born, in June 1731. It is one of the oldest trademarks in human history. Knives, scissors and other kitchenware bearing the logo enjoy world reputation for their quality. So far the enterprise has established production bases in Germany, Spain, China and Japan. Shanghai Razor Blade Co., Ltd., an enterprise controlled by Shanghai Yimin No. 1 (Group) Co., Ltd. under Bright Food, has been in good cooperation with ZWILLING in the China market for years.

Mr. Wang expressed appreciation of ZWILLING’s maintaining big profit growth last year amid a slack economy. As the world economy has entered a transitional period of profound adjustments from rapid growth before the crisis, he said, opportunity and challenge co-exist. Bright Food therefore needs to consider its distribution of resources and network from a national and international view. It is one of our effective means to adapt to the changed situation by speeding up “go global” and actively seeking cooperative opportunities in a world scope. He hoped that the two sides can strengthen exchanges and cooperation in search of mutual development.

Mr. Achim Wolfgarten thanked Mr. Wang for meeting his delegation and expressed hope for future cooperation with Bright Food in wider fields.
