'Floating forest' adds charm to winter scenery in Nanchang, E China's Jiangxi
Recently, the Yuweizhou Wetland Park in the Nanchang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Nanchang, east China's Jiangxi Province, has been awash in vibrant colors, with extensive clusters of dawn redwood trees turning a brilliant red.
Interwoven with winding waterways, pedestrian bridges and fitness trails, the wetland landscape offers a striking blend of nature and urban leisure.
Home to more than 10,000 tall trees, including dawn redwood, camphor trees, bald cypress and pond cypress, the park showcases a changing "palette" throughout the year, resembling a "floating forest."
In recent years, Nanchang has stepped up efforts to promote ecological protection and restoration, leveraging its rivers, lakes and wetlands to develop open ecological leisure parks.
Relevant initiatives have effectively improved the living environment and created a cityscape where greenery greets residents at their windows and scenic views await just beyond their doorsteps.
