Located about 100 kilometers east of Urumqi City, the Tianchi Lake scenic area in the Tianshan Mountains is a 5A tourist attraction, a scenic area that is among the highest level scenic areas in the country as classified by the China National Tourism Administration. Surrounded by mountains with snow-capped peaks, the Heavenly Lake stands out as the "Pearl of Tianshan Mountains." Tourists from both home and abroad trek into the mountain range in search of a quick peek at its marvelous beauty, a sight that is bound to take their breath away.
