The urban and rural communities that I visited have all attached great importance to the management on drug rehabilitation and recovery personnel, provided thoughtful humanistic care based on the behaviors and psychological characteristics of this group and the specific problems and difficulties of individuals, helped solve their living difficulties and mental problems, and also strengthened management on them, to integrate education, aid, and management into services, and enable them to truly feel the rescue, care, and love of the Party, government and the society, so as to fundamentally promote their physical and mental recovery and return to the society. In this process, not only the competent government departments, community leaders, and enterprise managers have done a lot of work, drug control volunteers and all sectors of the society have also actively participated in it. Enabling drug rehabilitation personnel to feel the warmth and support from the society through many channels and ways, and meanwhile promoting them to restrict, educate, and manage themselves, and proceed drug rehabilitation with confidence and determination have achieved effective results in the education and rescue for drug addicts.

Another experience worth summarizing in the promotion of the “Sunshine Project” in Guizhou is “innovation,” which not only reflects in the idea transformation of the leaders of Party committees and governments at all levels in Guizhou and the policy breakthroughs, but also fully mobilizes the initiative. Based on the specific situations of different urban and rural areas, they act according to local conditions and creatively promote the “Sunshine Project,” which is another valuable experience in successfully and effectively promoting the project.
