"Fierce-Dragon" fighter passes weapon-upgrading appraisal

The appraisal and examination meeting on the "Fierce-Dragon" fighter (Weapon II) supplement design was held on December 21, 2012 in Chengdu,capital city of southwest China's Sichuan province.

\After discussion, questioning and inquiry, the appraisal team unanimously agreed that the "Fierce-Dragon" fighter has passed the aircraft design appraisal in 2009 as well as the supplement appraisals for the engine air-start and the Weapon-I accuracy target test in 2010, and at present reached the supplement appraisal condition for the Weapon-II research and development. The team approved it passed the supplement appraisal and examination.

The smooth approval of the "Fierce-Dragon" fighter (Weapon-II) for passing the supplement appraisal and examination makes it capable for air-to-air and air-to-ground combat capability, improving China's advantages in aviation technology and enhancing the confidence of aircraft-export. It has laid a solid foundation for consolidating and expanding the export market of China-made military aircraft and guided weapons and accumulated useful experience in technology and management.
