Rural library enriches villagers’ cultural lives (2)

A three-storey library located in the middle of a vast pear orchard in Xiyu village, Pengzhou, southwest China’s Sichuan province has become a place for locals to read books and enjoy their leisure time. It is a 500-square-meter building with glass walls and a wooden ceiling. On the first floor of the library is an exhibition room which displays local folk customs and cultural heritage; the second floor is the reading room, which also provides coffee and drinks; the third floor is a multifunctional room for people to entertain themselves.
