23 patients infected with the novel coronavirus were discharged on Feb.26 from Jiangxia Fangcang temporary hospital, the first Fangcang hospital that mainly uses traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to treat novel coronavirus patients in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei province.
In addition to TCM decoction and comprehensive TCM treatments, medical workers in Jiangxia Fangcang temporary hospital are also teaching patients the ancient Chinese martial art of Tai Chi as well as Ba Duan Jin, a set of exercises which literally means “eight steps to healthy living”, in an effort to improve and regulate patients’ health.
