Light shows in 9 cities mark 70th anniversary of PRC's founding

On the evening of Sept. 16, light shows with the theme of "expressing love to the motherland" were staged in 25 landmark buildings across nine cities along the Yellow River in Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan and Shandong.

52 places in 10 provinces, including Hebei, Fujian and Jiangxi have already participated in the series of light shows, organized by People's Daily Online. More provinces and regions will join in the coming days to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
