BEIJING, Sept. 17 -- Four senior department officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee introduced the latest progress in Party work at a forum here Tuesday to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Li Xiaoxin with the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, Liang Yanshun with the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, Xu Yousheng with the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and Wang Hongxiang with the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee attended the forum.

They briefed the audience about the progress of the Party's organization, publicity, united front and legal work in the past seven decades, particularly since the 18th CPC National Congress in late 2012, and also interacted with audience members online.

The forum was the fifth of a series to mark the PRC's 70th anniversary. The sixth and final forum will be held on Thursday.
