Heart disease likely cause of giant panda Le Le's death

The Memphis Zoo in Memphis, US state of Tennessee said that the giant panda Le Le had died early this month. A joint autopsy by Chinese and US experts has showed the cause of death may have been heart disease, but further pathological diagnose is still needed to confirm the cause.

Le Le, a male born in 1998, came to the Memphis Zoo with a female giant panda, Ya Ya. Over the last 20 years Le Le has delighted millions of guests.
