A special group of police has been set up at the Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) to prevent imported COVID-19 infections and ensure the smooth transit of inbound passengers.
On March 10, BCIA designated Zone D of Terminal 3 as a special zone for inbound flights from countries and regions seriously stricken by the novel coronavirus.
Responsible for dealing with any disorderly behavior in the special zone, the special team has put up a defense line at airport security and worked hard to maintain public order and safety.
Their work has continued even though the pressure brought by epidemic prevention and control at BCIA has been alleviated, as all international flights to Beijing were diverted first to 12 designated airports on their arrival in China starting March 23.
