The media center for the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened to reporters on Nov. 4. Covered by 5G technology, the media center will provide high-speed networking services for more than 4,300 reporters, 900 from foreign media outlets.
The media center is equipped with information desks, public office areas, exclusive office areas, technical service stations, interview rooms, press rooms and a catering area.
The public office areas, located on the second floor of the media center, covering about 1,000 square meters, can accommodate up to 450 reporters, while the information desks on the first floor provide materials, documents and lost and found services.
The media center boasts faster data transmission, allowing reporters to present live broadcasts in high-definition while at the expo. The media center will also stage a variety of activities. For instance, 22 examples of intangible cultural heritage with Shanghai characteristics are displayed to showcase Shanghainese culture to reporters. (Photos/Weng Qiyu)
