Last year, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council approved the proposal that the China Farmers' Harvest Festival should take place for farmers on the Autumn Equinox, which gives this time of year a new meaning, that is, celebrating the harvest.
But why do we celebrate the China Farmers' Harvest Festival? Well, on one hand, China is a country with a long history of agriculture. On the other hand, the China Farmers' Harvest Festival, as a cultural symbol, showcases China's long and profound agricultural history, inherits and carries forward outstanding traditional Chinese culture, facilitates the integration of traditional culture with modern civilization, and strengthens confidence in Chinese culture.
Last year, how did farmers across China celebrate this festival?
In Yangling, Shaanxi Province, farmers celebrated the festival with dance and music.
By beating drums, clanging gongs and dancing to the music, farmers expressed their feelings. Agricultural intelligent remote sensing aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles took off together, which indicated that Chinese agriculture was becoming more technology-oriented and intelligent. Meanwhile, many quality agricultural products were exhibited during the festival, which through e-commerce, flooded markets nationwide.
