One day before the 100-day countdown to the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) begins, a pre-expo matchmaking event for exhibitors and buyers was held in Shanghai on Friday.
Around 100 companies in food, agricultural products, medical equipment and healthcare industries attended the event, where they displayed their products and talked with potential buyers.
The event was hosted by the CIIE bureau at expo venue, the National Exhibition and Convention Center.
To be held in November, the expo is the world's first national-level expo dedicated to imports. Last year, the inaugural expo concluded with deals signed worth a total of $57.8 billion.
