The track laying stage of the Chongli railway, specially built for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, is now 90 percent complete. The project is being carried out by the China Railway 20th Bureau Group.
The 53-km-long railway links Beijing with Chongli district of Zhangjiakou city in north China’s Hebei province with a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
