A Long Hair Festival was held in the Yao ethnic village of Longji Town, Multinational Autonomous County of Longsheng, in south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on April 7, to mark China’s traditional Sanyuesan Festival, which is celebrated on the third day of the third lunar month, Chinanews.com reported on April 8.
A variety of activities took place during the festival, including hair combing, folk customs and Yao-style textiles, as well as a display of Yao-style costumes and accessories.
The Long Hair Festival was first held in this Yao village in 2016.
