A new way of parking in southwestern China’s Chongqing municipality might offer an effective solution to insufficient parking spaces in the modern world. When a driver enters a car park, a parking rack will be moved into the lane. All the driver has to do is drive onto the rack, park up and leave. The car will then be raised at an angle and moved back into place so it is out of the way.
Thanks to this innovative method, the 400-square meter garage now has 40 parking spots compared with its previous 24, an increase of 65 percent. (Photo/Chongqing Daily)
