China’s scientific research vessel Shen Kuo, en route to the Mariana Trench with a scientific research team established by multiple Chinese institutes, arrived at the first deep sea station in the Western Pacific Ocean on Dec. 3. While there, the research team successfully conducted a 4,500-meter deep-profiling float sea trial based on the Beidou Satellite Communication System, Xinhuanet.com reported on Thursday.
