(People's Daily Online)    09:30, July 31, 2018

Aerial photo shows the charming Qarhan Salt Lake in Tsaidam Basin of northwest China’s Qinghai province. On July 26, 2018, an unmanned aerial vehicle master invitational tournament was held at Qarhan Salt Lake.

Located to the south of the Tsaidam Basin, which is praised as the “treasure bowl” of China, Qarhan Salt Lake is China’s largest soluble potassium and magnesium salt deposit, with its reserves of sodium, magnesium, potassium and lithium ranking first in China.

With a total area of 5,856 square kilometers, Qarhan Salt Lake boasts dozens of salt pans. The fascinating emerald green water attracts both tourists and UAV operators.
