China Railway Seventh Group (CRSG) has issued certificates of merit to some of its workers for their service and dedication to the company and project.
This historic event was organized by the company to motivate other workers to accelerate their commitment to serve the company and the nation.
Sierra Leone’s Minister of Works and Maintenance, Alhaji Ibrahim Kemoh Sesay, while addressing the beneficiaries and CRSG stakeholders, commended the company for the good investment in the country and encouraged workers and company officials to work in harmony for their mutual benefit.
Present in the occasion are, Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Wu Peng, representatives from Ministry of Labour and other senior officials from Ministry of Works, Housing and Infrastructure and Sierra Leone Roads Authority.

Registered in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China Railway Seventh Group Company Ltd. (CRSG), is a large state-owned enterprise which directly sets up for a more competitive market structure of China Railway Engineering Corporation (CREC). It is well known for its hard work in building a standard railway; first grade general contract qualifications for highway, building and municipal works, first grade general contract qualifications for highway subgrade, bridge, hydraulic tunnel, track-laying and girder erecting work, tunnel electrification works approved by the Ministry of Construction and Grade A Execution Enterprise for Foreign Aid project of the People's Republic of China by the Ministry of Commerce.
CRSG is fully complying with Sierra Leone’s Local Content Policy, which is why more nationals have been employed over the years and are currently on a training process in building good roads and embarking on other construction work.
The Group, which will on the long run invest in other projects such as agriculture as part of its contribution to boosting Sierra Leone’s food security driver, is keen at supporting national development since commencing operations in the country and has been adhering to its corporate social responsibilities in a number of communities across the country. One key example is the widening of the Waterloo Police Checkpoint with bulldozer with the request of the Sierra Leone Police Force.
