Every September 1 marks the first day of school in China, when all primary and high school students go to school after a long summer vacation. Usually all first-graders will celebrate their first lesson with various extracurricular activities.
In Hefei, Anhui province, the first lesson for Hefei Heping Primary School was a safety class taught by local police.
In Nanchang, Jiangxi province, students at Nanchang Wanli No.5 Primary School were taught first-aid as their first lesson in life.
In Deqing, Zhejiang province, local authorities of Moganshan Township decided that first-graders should be taught environmental protection and waste classification.
Other schools across China also created different lessons to welcome the children, including science and earthquake evacuation. (Photo/People's Daily Online)
