"Cloud Rail," produced by China's new energy vehicle maker BYD, will start operations at the forthcoming Yinchuan Flower Expo in September in Yinchuan City, capital of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
The 5.67-kilometer of line around the whole flower expo park is estimated to cost 660 million yuan ($99 million).
A single ride will take 20 minutes and will stop at eight of the most scenic spots in the flower park, enabling visitors to have a panoramic view of the whole park.
There will be a total of 10 trains running, each of which can carry 100-200 passengers.
The light rail project is still under construction and the public will only get a taste of the "Cloud Rail" system at next month's flower expo.
