Natural beauty of Jiuzhaigou marred by earthquake (2)

Jiuzhaigou, the nature reserve in Sichuan province, used to be known for its heavenly scenery formed by special topographic features. But after a magnitude-7.0 earthquake hit on Aug. 8, several of the well-known scenic spots have been ruined.

While many have called to restore it, geographic experts have pointed out that the reserve was formed by the power of nature over many years, starting with an earthquake. Instead of trying to restore the original look, people should realize that its geographic condition has changed, but it may look even more beautiful than before the earthquake.
