
A gold coin with the portrait of Zhang Zuolin, a famous warlord in China’s Warlord Era (1916-27), is sold for 9.08 million yuan at Xilin Yingshe Auction’s spring auction. The gold coin valued at 50 is 2.8 centimeters in diameter and has a portrait of Zhang on the front. It was made in 1927, and only two of the trial coins were ever made. The auctioned coin is rated at 64+ by Professional Coin Grading Service. (Long Wei/People's Daily Online)
