A unique fashion show was staged in Yongren County, Yi Autonomous Prefecture on the 15th day of the first month of the Lunar New Year. Local citizens of the Yi ethnic minority dressed in traditional clothing and celebrated the event with songs and dance. The fashion-focused celebration dates back 1,351 years, and is considered the oldest rural fashion show in China--perhaps even in the world.
