7. Nano particles that fight cancer
Scientists believe that, in the future, the proteins released by hundreds of cancer cells will be able to be detected by a DNA chip installed in a toilet, which could detect tumors at least 10 years ahead of when many people detect them now. At the same time, nano particles will be researched and developed to fight against cancer cells as micro molecules.
8. Real life Iron Man
To be half robot and half human like Iron Man is no longer a far-off dream. Scientists forecast that cyborgs will be on the market some time starting in the 2020s or 2030s. Items like artificial skeletons, artificial muscles, artificial organs and even hypodermic implantation of cyberbrains are all possible technologies in the near future.
9. Consciousness upload
Consciousness is very hard to control. The fact that it is attached to only one carrier makes people wonder whether the same consciousness can also attach to a different carrier. Just like in the movie Transcendence, where Will (played by Johnny Depp) uploads his consciousness to a supercomputer, neurobiologists have now mastered the technology of artificially synthesizing the hippocampus, prepping for future consciousness uploads as “data” to the brain.
10. Space migration
Worried about overpopulation on Earth? Don’t be--space migration is not just a joke. Instead of making the universe a more suitable place for humans to live, scientists are considering the idea of making the human body adaptable to the universe. Maybe in another 100 years, all human will have the ability to turn into “aliens” and live on other planets.
