A new technology swimming helmet will make its debut in a small business trade fair slated for this weekend in Chongqing, southwest China's Sichuan province, according to Chongqing Morning Post.
The helmet, developed by Chongqing Telecommunication College, will help people learn how to swim in three hours.
Researchers at the college did trial tests among people aged between 6 to 35 and they all were reportedly able to swim in three hours.
Xiong Taihua, one of researchers, said the helmet can prevent swimmers from chocking, sinking and bumping.
As for the price, he said "it is cheaper than you pay for swimming class."
"Usually it will cost 800 yuan ($133) to learn to swim from a coach in ten days, but this helmet cost less than that," Xiong said without giving the exact price.
