On November 13, 2015, Bright Food (Group) Co., Ltd. (or “Bright Food” for short) and Rabobank jointly convened the Report on Development Trends in China's Food Industry in 2016 on the site of the 2015 Shanghai China International Food Exposition and the Bright Food Festival, and issued the "Report on Development Trends in China's Food Industry in 2016" (or the “2016 Report” for short). Lv Yongjie, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Bright Food, gave a speech at the conference, and Dong Qin, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Bright Food, delivered the report.

During his speech, Chairman Lv said that as the Chinese economy is getting into the New Normal, new changes and trends have begun to emerge in China's food industry. The situation in which Bright Food has found itself now is more complex than ever, and the task of bringing about a transformation has become arduous. How to understand and take advantage of changes and trends in the market will determine if Bright Food may achieve sustainable development in the future. It is true from certain angles that the growing trend toward two businesses forming a strategic alliance is more significant than the strategy involving such unions between businesses. It was in such a situation that Bright Food and Rabobank joined forces to produce the 2016 Report by combining the Chinese experience of the former with the international vision of the latter and analyzing large amounts of data and cases and make it public for sharing with the entire industry. It is our hope that not only will the 2016 Report benefit the development and transformation of Bright Food's business operations, but it will provide various businesses and organizations in the domestic food industry with valuable information and share Bright Food's insightful views with them, with a view to promoting exchanges and cooperation within the industry and so achieving the goal of bringing development and prosperity to all, concluded Chairman Lv.

At the conference, President Dong explained the main contents of the 2016 Report. Su Hanguang, Vice Chairman for the Asian region at Rabobank, which is Bright Food's partner in producing the report, also delivered a speech at the conference, and Zhou Bin, Director for the Asian region at the Agriculture & Food Research Consultation Department of Rabobank, explained to the audience the process involved in the research project.
