On November 13, the "2015 Shanghai China International Food Exposition" (Food Expo 2015), approved by the Ministry of Commerce, organized by the China National Food Industry Association (CNFIA) and Bright Food Group (Bright Food), took place at Shanghai Exhibition Center, with the participation of over 500 renowned food enterprises from home and abroad.
Exhibitors
Themed by "Better Food, Better World", Food Expo 2015 brought together industrial committees, provincial and municipal food associations, leading food enterprises and leading land reclamation enterprises from around the country, as well as numerous enterprises from countries such as the UK, France, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Poland, Japan and the US, with a total exhibition area of nearly 20,000 square meters and over 1,000 types of products. Exhibits fell into 18 categories, including dairy products, sugar, liquor, beverage, snack food, canned food, meat products, cereal products, fruit products, aquatic products, condiment, etc.
The China Time-honored Brand Enterprise Association organized time-honored brand food enterprises representing brand culture and carrying forward the cultural essence of the Chinese nation for the exposition; the Refrigerated Food Committee of CNFIA also organized enterprises for the exposition and especially set up a refrigerated food pavilion; the Shanghai Food Industry Association set up three pavilions for "time-honored brand products, products with old taste and intangible food"; the Wuhan Food Industry Association will organize a presentation to promote Wuhan's characteristic products. Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, Heilongjiang Agricultural Reclamation Administration, Tianjin Agricultural Reclamation Administration, Anhui Agricultural Reclamation Administration, Jiangsu Agricultural Reclamation Administration, and Yunnan Agricultural Reclamation Administration will appear with quality agricultural and sideline products.
According to the source, international brands accounted for 20 percent of 500 domestic and foreign enterprises participating in the exposition this year. Exhibits were more novel, richer and more specialized this year, covering a wider range of fields. To offer visitors a better interactive experience, the organizing committee and exhibitors elaborately prepared a lot of spectacular activities to share with spot audiences.
Professional Food Purchase Platform
On the opening day of Food Expo 2015 on November 13, nearly 5,000 invited professional visitors were present, including managers of restaurants, hotels, supermarkets and department stores and e-commerce platforms, representatives from China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and foreign consulates general in Shanghai, as well as managers of Bright Food's retail terminal enterprises and farm enterprises. This shows that the exposition is an internationalized, open, guiding, communicable and interactive event, and pays more attention to product presentation, brand communication, consumer interaction and channel linkage. The exposition yielded booming sales and orders, and produced remarkable brand benefit and economic benefit.
Spectacular Activities
Through the exposition, Bright Food Group showcased its internationalization strategy and held a series of signing ceremonies such as the "Signing Ceremony for Strategic Cooperation between Shanghai Liangyou Haishi Oils & Fats Industry Co., Ltd. and Miquel Alimentació". To show its social responsibility performance, Bright Food Group held the "Launch Conference of Bright Charity Fund" on the morning of November 14 during the exposition.
To better promote trade cooperation through the exposition, Bright Food Group signed agreements with a host of international partners during the exposition. JMU Online Store held a "purchase fair" to present B2B2C one-stop cooperation solutions to numerous exhibitors and purchasers. The exhibitor Wuhan Food Industry Association will hold the "Wuhan Famous, Special and Quality Food Presentation" to recommend Wuhan's characteristic food to purchasers.
The exposition integrated concept, content and form innovation into the colorful activities of the food festival. While presenting traditional food, the exposition also delivered activities such as "Filippo Berio Olive Brand Presentation", "Spanish Food Recommendation", "Liangyou-Haishi and Miquel Alimentació Contract Signing Ceremony", "Million Gourmet New Product Release Conference", "Wang Yu Tai Auspicious Series Release Conference", "Liangyou Haishi New Product Release Conference", "Tenderness Brand and Product Promotion", "Solidware Brand Launch & Wechat Mall Distribution Demonstration" and "Chongao Hairy Crab Presentation", to make consumers feel the product quality of the exposition more intuitively and glut themselves with delicacies from around the world.
