Chairman Lv Yongjie Delivers Speech at 2015 China Food Industry Development Forum

Hosted by the China National Food Industry Association, organized by Bright Food (Group) Co., Ltd. (Bright Food) and COFCO Corporation, the 2015 China Food Industry Development Forum took place at the International Convention Center of Shanghai National Accounting Institute on November 12.

Themed by "Development and Brand Innovation of China's Food Industry", this forum brought together competent government departments, domestic and foreign food industry associations and organizations, brand research experts and scholars, as well as brand executives of leading food enterprises. At the forum, Lv Yongjie, Chairman of Bright Food, delivered a keynote speech entitled Brand Operation of Bright Food Group, and exchanged ideas with other guests on issues such as the inheritance and brand internationalization of Chinese food brands.

Lv noted that brands show enterprises' comprehensive strength and overall image as the core of sustained development and value growth. Bright Food's operating revenues and total assets have both exceeded RMB100 billion. At the new historical starting point, to adapt to the ever-changing market environment and the increasingly fierce market competition of the food industry, and fulfill the dream of everlasting development, Bright Food must persistently take brands as the core means of competition and build brands throughout industry chain development, he added.

Based on Bright Food's exploration and practice, Lv noted that efforts should be made to guide brand operation with the vision and missions, support brand operation through industry chain construction, promote brand operation through globalization, and advance brand operation under the innovation strategy; and to keep intensifying fine historical brand inheritance, innovative brand support and international brand cultivation, construct and perfect the system of business management and strategic coordination of the group's parent and sub brands, thus building a Chinese leading food brand with significant market competitiveness.

This forum also unveiled the results of the survey of "Filippo Berio" on consumers' favorite food brands in 2015. The group's brands: "Bright", "White Rabbit" and "Sea Lion" were ranked among consumers' 10 favorite brands in the categories of dairy products, snack food and cooking oil.
