Story of a single mother

Every year, a large number of couples in China get divorced or lose their spouses, driving up the number of single mothers. Many of them are faced with heavy family responsibilities and bear tremendous psychological and social pressures.

Wu Hongya becomes a single mother after divorce with her husband. On Sept. 4, 2004, Wu's 21-year-old daughter died of an accident. The pains of losing her daughter made Wu full of remorse up to now, with tears in her eyes.
