They need more concerns and love

Single mothers are a large group in China. According to statistics, there are about 2 million couples that divorced or bereft of their spouses in China every year, and the figure is rising year by year. 67 percent of single parent families have children and single mothers are in the majority.

Single mothers are a special group in China. Due to traditional ideas and social prejudices, women are harder than men in the reconstruction of social and intimate relationships. They not only have to bear the responsibility for raising and educating their children but also shoulder the heavy burden of the family, meanwhile suffering psychological frustration and negative feelings such as depression, loneliness, helplessness and failure in life. The single mothers living in rural areas are more difficult in making a living. In a word, single mothers need more concerns and love.
