BEIJING, Dec. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- It is not an easy work to lose weight. People always make a firm decision "I am going to lose weight" at the very beginning, and then their attitude becomes " should", and finally "I mean to".

But this time Dr. Yoni Freedhoff, an Ottawa-based weight loss expert, and Dr. Arya Sharma, who holds a chair in obesity research and management at the University of Alberta, give some tips.

1. Cut the calories you drink. People always concern about calories in their food rather than drinks, because liquids are not obviously to fill you up when compared with solid snacks.

"If you drink 300 calories before your meal, you're not going to eat 300 less calories at your meal."
