House ownership means higher satisfaction
An academic survey released recently showed that 70 percent of Chinese college students considered themselves belong to the "lower strata" or "lower middle strata," 20 percent thought themselves belong to the "middle strata" and only 3 percent said they belonged to the "upper middle strata" or "upper strata."
The survey done by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences also showed that graduates having a house are far more satisfied with their status quo than the houseless graduates.
Government officials should raise the awareness of service
The Chinese college students born in the 1980s and 1990s have a poor impression of government officials, the survey said.
About 45 percent of college students agree or comparatively agree with the statement that most government officials have enough ability to handle government affairs, while only less than one-third agree or comparatively agree with the statement that most government officials have a good moral character.
After analysis, the researchers said that the above data indicated that college students have a low comprehensive evaluation of government officials, thinking that they not only lack of capacity but also have poor personal morality especially the awareness of serving the people.
