HONG KONG, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 jolted 63 km SSE of Madang, Papua New Guinea at 0834 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 72.0 km, was initially determined to be at 5.70 degrees south latitude and 146.10 degrees east longitude.
