Moderate earthquake hits western Indonesia

JAKARTA, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- A 5.6-magnitude earthquake jolted Indonesia's western province of East Java on Sunday, the country's meteorology, climatology and geophysics agency said.
The quake hit at 11:16 Jakarta time (0416 GMT) with the epicenter at 316 km southwest of Pacitan district and the shallow at 10 km under the seabed, the agency said.
The tremors did not potentially trigger a tsunami, it said.
