Majority of firms on Beijing bourse report profit in H1

BEIJING, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- All 106 companies listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange have unveiled their earning figures for the first half of 2022 (H1), with 90 percent of them reporting profits, the latest data shows.
The companies' net profits totaled 4.28 billion yuan (about 621.9 million U.S. dollars) in H1, up 19.71 percent year on year, according to the Beijing bourse.
The combined revenue of the companies stood at 44.15 billion yuan, up 33.04 percent from the same period last year.
Companies on the bourse invested more in research and development, with the total expenditure in this regard surging 32.77 percent year on year to 1.97 billion yuan, the bourse said.
