
On Feb. 20, the National Security Committee of Australia decided to extend its restriction on travelers from the Chinese mainland for yet another week. Australian media reported that the travel ban is expected to cost the Australian economy billions of dollars.
Industries like tourism and international education have been profoundly affected. The restriction also caused trouble for Chinese students studying in Australia.
