Forest rangers in NW China's Gansu (5)

Located deep in the Qilian Mountains in Jinchang County, there is a natural resource protection station with nine rangers, who patrol over 20 times every month with the longest round-trip distance up to 50 kilometers. And in the winter, a critical period for forest fire prevention, they often have to patrol on foot as it is too dangerous to ride motorcycles on some parts of snow-covered mountain roads.
