Guitar industry facilitates poverty reduction in SW China

Guitar manufacturing has developed rapidly in recent years in Zheng'an, one of 14 counties of extreme poverty in southwest China's Guizhou province, helping local people rise above the poverty line.

To date, the industrial guitar park in Zheng'an has attracted a total of 64 manufacturers and supporting enterprises.

Last year, guitar companies in the area produced 6 million products, with an output value of 6 billion yuan.

This provided jobs for 14,000 people and helped 6,690 poor people shake off poverty.

Starting from 2013, a batch of Zheng'an residents started guitar businesses in their hometown. Driven by governmental policies, some guitar manufacturers in Fujian and Guangdong provinces have also invested in the guitar industry in Zheng'an.
