A Tuyuhun royal tomb has been found in Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, Gansu Province, according to the Gansu Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology. Located on the ancient Silk Road trade route, Tuyuhun was a powerful kingdom established by historical nomadic peoples. The discovery of this, the most well-preserved tomb found so far, will aid studies of burial customs of Tuyuhun, the Silk Road and the relationship with the Tang Dynasty (618-907), archaeologists said.
