New highlights of the 6th World Internet Conference

The 6th World Internet Conference (WIC) is scheduled to run from Oct. 20 to 22 in the river town of Wuzhen in east China’s Zhejiang province.

The conference will have some special new highlights, according to Zhu Chonglie, vice director of the publicity department of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, who is also director of the working committee of the WIC’s organizer.

The first highlight of the event will be a featured called The Light of the Internet Exposition. It covers 20,000 square meters and is column-free, providing a spacious space for internet enterprises to display their technologies.

The venue is equipped with a highly intelligent system backed by digital technologies and a facial recognition system, among others.

Besides, 20 sub-forums, a release ceremony of edge-cutting technologies, and an exposition will all be held during the conference. The exposition will be open on Oct.18, two days ahead of the conference, in order to fully present new internet products and applications to visitors and it will last five days.

On Oct. 22, the final component of the Global Internet Competition “Straight to Wuzhen” will be held as a new part of the WIC. About 60 intelligent projects will be displayed during the conference.
